Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber (UHMWPE) produced by Beijing Tongyizhong Specialty Fiber Technology & Development Co., Ltd., is independently developed and is one of the key projects supported by the State 11th Five-year Plan. The patent No.  in Europe is EP 1694888.  

 UHMWPE fiber, after carbon fiber and aramid fiber, is the newest high strength performance fiber nowadays.  Lots of specifications are available such as 100D, 150D, 200D, 250D, 300D,350D, 400D, 600D,800D, 1400D, 1600D and 2400D etc.. Meanwhile it has many performances as below:  

1 High tenacity(pound for pound, 15 times stronger than stainless steel),

2 High modulus,

3 Low specific gravity(0.97g/cm3, lighter than water),

4 Low elongation,

5 Excellent ultraviolet radiation resistance,

6 Good chemical corrosion resistance,

7 Good abrasion resistance,

8 Outstanding cut resistance,

9 High energy absorption, low dielectric constant, high electromagnetic wave transmission, low friction, impact resistance etc.
